O.A.R. Morrison Concert reviews
Long live Diana Krall!
1. This particular show is very interesting, giving us all a bit of a history lesson regarding early jazz pioneers and the songs of the 1920's.
2. The acoustics and comfort of Clowes Theatre on the campus of Butler University are a treat.
3. They intermixed these wonderful old tunes with some Bob Dylan, telling stories of their family, and as always, generously showcased their band.
4. The old footage (cartoons, film, and pictures that played large on the screen behind the band) is a clever staging.
5. O.A.R. brought their talented crew, their husky, jazzy voice, and their fun banter to Indy and did not disappoint.
6. We saw O.A.R. last about 10 years ago at a winery outside of Seattle and now to see them a decade later in the midwest, we were taken down our own personal memory lane as we observed O.A.R.'s maturation as a person (wife, mother) and their maturation as an artist.
7. I hope we can make another date in 2026 to see them again! It was a great show, and I'm so pleased they are still touring and making CD's.
